Good value with free shipping

I was looking for a gift and wanted to get the most for my money. I ended up getting a couple of their Founders Collection boxes because it qualified for free shipping, which saved me a bit. The total cost felt reasonable for the quality. I didn't use any other codes, but the free shipping alone made it a good deal for me. The chocolates themselves were excellent, so I felt it was worth the price.

Always a good choice

This was my third time ordering from Hawaiian Host, and they're consistently good. Got the AlohaMacs Milk Chocolate this time, and they arrived fresh and well-packed, just like my previous orders. Shipping took about 5 days to get to California. It's why I keep coming back, can always count on them for quality. No surprises, which is what I like.

So good, will order again!

I ordered the AlohaMacs Milk Chocolate and they were absolutely divine! They arrived in perfect condition, even though it took 5 days to reach upstate New York. The chocolate was creamy and the macadamias were fresh and crunchy. I ate the whole box too quickly. Next time I'll try the Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Macadamias! I'm already planning my next order, probably for a gift basket for my mom's birthday. Such a treat!

Decent purchase, few issues

I ordered the Flavors of Hawaii Box for a gift. The variety was great, and the recipient really enjoyed them. Packaging was sturdy, and the chocolate didn't melt, which is always a concern. However, shipping was a bit slower than I expected, took 7 business days to reach Chicago. Also, the website checkout felt a little clunky when I was trying to add a gift message. Overall, it was a good value, but the delivery time could definitely be improved.

Good quality, minor shipping issue

I recently bought a couple of the Founders Collection boxes. The chocolates themselves were excellent, very high quality ingredients and tasted fresh. The packaging was also quite nice, suitable for gifting. Shipping was fairly quick, arrived in 4 days. My only small complaint is that one of the boxes had a slight dent on the corner, which wasn't ideal for a gift. Overall, good value for the price though, especially considering the quality of the macadamia nuts.

Sweet treat, arrived perfectly

Just got my order of Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Macadamias, and they were really good. You know how sometimes chocolate melts in transit? Not these. They arrived in perfect shape. I just wanted a little something to snack on, and these hit the spot. It was easy to order, and they got here pretty quick.

Are these Hawaiian Host chocolates really that much better than, say, Mauna Loa? Or is it mostly branding? Trying to decide which to get.

B Brandon Flores 3 weeks ago
Honestly, Hawaiian Host is the OG. I find their chocolate a bit richer and the macadamias have a better crunch. Mauna Loa is good, but HH just hits different.

D David Torres 3 weeks ago
I've had both and prefer Hawaiian Host, especially the ToffeeMacs. Mauna Loa feels a bit more mass-produced to me, if that makes sense? HH feels more premium.

Does anyone know if that 10% off for signing up for emails can be used with the free shipping deal? Or is it like one code per order kinda thing?

A Alex Taylor 1 month ago
Nah, pretty sure it's one code only. I tried to use a holiday discount with the free shipping threshold once and it wouldn't let me. Had to pick which one.

J Jeff Williams 1 month ago
Yeah, can confirm. Tried it myself last year during Black Friday. You gotta choose. Most places are like that nowadays anyway, unfortunately.

Hey, wondering if anyone's ordered from Hawaiian Host to the East Coast? Like NYC or something. How long did shipping actually take for you?

M Melissa R. 1 month ago
Yeah, I got a gift basket for my mom in Boston last month. It took about 5-6 business days to get there, which was pretty good. They packed it well.

T Thomas Torres 1 month ago
Mine was a bit faster, like 4 days to Philly. I think it depends on the time of year and if you pick standard or expedited. Usually pretty reliable though.

Just wondering about returns. What if I get a gift set and some of the chocolates are, like, not good? Is it a hassle to send them back?

M Megan H. 1 month ago
I had an issue once, one of the boxes was a bit crushed in shipping. Their customer service was super easy to deal with, they just sent a replacement. Didn't even need to return the damaged one.

Hey, thinking of ordering some Hawaiian Host for a party next month. Does their free shipping over $100 actually work out, or is it hard to hit that threshold?

J Jacob 1 month ago
Yeah, it's pretty easy to hit if you're getting a few gift sets or bulk boxes. I usually get the free shipping.

A Adam Clark 1 month ago
For sure. I usually load up on a couple of those bigger boxes and it kicks in automatically. Worth it for the savings.

Are Hawaiian Host products actually gluten-free? My friend has an allergy, and I want to get her something safe.

A Abigail W. 1 month ago
I'd definitely double check the specific product pages. Not all chocolates are, but some might be.
5
D Danielle 1 month ago
Yeah, I think some of their plain macadamia stuff might be, but with the chocolate and other ingredients, you gotta be careful. Check the ingredients list for sure.

Thinking of sending some of those AlohaMacs to my family down in Florida. It's gonna be hot there. Do they do anything special to keep the chocolate from melting?

A Amanda Hill 1 month ago
They do! When I ordered in summer, it came with ice packs and was in a insulated box. It was fine, no melted mess.

Mine arrived perfectly cool to Arizona in July. They use some kind of cold pack system. Kinda impressive, actually.

Quick question about Hawaiian Host shipping to New York. How long does it usually take for orders to arrive?

R Robert A. 3 weeks ago
Mine usually takes about a week to the East Coast, maybe a little more if there's a holiday.
3
R Richard Ramirez 2 weeks ago
Yeah, I'd say plan for 7-10 days, just to be safe. They pack it well though, so no melted chocolate!
